Kerala Tour: God's Own Country

We were planning to visit Kerala & I was excited to see Kerala known as Gods own Country. I have heard a lot about Kerala's beauty and people also told me that if you want to go to Kerala go by train you would see the nature and real beauty of Kerala via konkan route. So we choose to go by Rajdhani it was a long journey though I hate long journey by train it was not my first long travel I also went to Darjeeling by train (North East) its was also a long journey. This was a good journey and I enjoyed the natural scenes like rivers, coconut tree, hills and many natural things. Finally we reached Trivandrum in the morning around 10 am. As It was the month of September so weather was ok not so hot. As it was 15 Days tour so we decided not to go anywhere on first day we just relaxed. Next day we visited the Kovalam beach in Kerala, its a very famous beach and visited by thousands of tourists. then we proceed to another beach like Shanghumugham another well known beach but this beach is not sporty beach waves are really huge& you can't think to be inside. We visited many places and enjoyed South Indian food. I must tell you about the place we saw that was Poovar Island its a amazing places and only for those people who want to be relax. We just took a boat and went to the Poovar Island a 15 min Boat ride was very beautiful it was a amazing experience initially our boat was running in a small river, both sides were covered by coconut and banana trees then we entered in the sea it was a awesome view. We had been dropped at the platform of the resort and we enjoyed our stay.

Another memorable drive to Kanyakumari, The town is a popular tourist place in India situated in Tamil Nadu state its about 100 km from Thiruvananthapuram and it can be visited in one day from Thiruvananthapuram. We also visited Vivekanad Rock Memorial by steamer. Vivekanad Rock is a sacred monument and popular tourist attraction in Kanyakumari.

Overall it was a great experience there is a lot to see in South India which cannot be covered in 15 Days. There are many things to share regarding this Kerala Tour which I will tell you in my next blog on Kerala.
